LGUs suspend F2F classes due to LPA


TACLOBAN CITY - The supposed resumption of limited face-to-face classes here on Monday, March 7, has been suspended due to heavy rains brought by the low-pressure area around East Northeast of Hinatu-an, Surigao del Sur.

City Mayor Alfred Romualdez has issued an executive order suspending work and classes in all levels due to inclement weather conditions in the city.

At least 7,315 of the total of 18,846 vaccinated students from elementary to senior high school were expected to attend the expanded limited face-to-face classes.

A Red Rainfall Warning was issued by the National Risk Reduction and Management Council in the provinces of Leyte and Southern Leyte at 5:25 A.M.

Heavy rains, flooding, and landslides are expected, especially in low-lying areas.

Meanwhile, Tanauan, Leyte Mayor Pelagio Tecson Jr., and Mayor Rhodessa Revita of Caibiran, Biliran also issued an executive order on the suspension of classes in all levels as a precautionary measure.
