Cavite 7th district Rep. Jesus “Boying” Remulla alleged that a political campaign held in Cavite on Friday night, March 4, paid P500 each to attendees.

“Meron sa amin politiko, nagbabayad. Sa siyudad ng Cavite may politiko na nagbabayad ng limang daan sa bawat aattend (There is a politician here who pays. In Cavite, they paid P500 to each attendee),” Remulla alleged during a DZRH program on Saturday, March 5.

He was referring to Presidential candidate Vice President Leni Robredo’s campaign rally in General Trias, Cavite on the night of March 4.

Around 47,000 attended the rally.

“Kagabi ginastos nila siguro mga anim hanggang walong milyon (Last night, they spent around six to eight million),” he said.

He further added that many of the attendees were brought from outside of Cavite.

“Tapos ano may jeep, meron silang staging area, may t-shirt, may uniporme. Kumpleto. Kaya alam mo na hindi indigenous kasi naka-uniporme, hinahakot eh. Ang uniporme nila syempre pink. At yung mga jeep, takip yung mga karatula kasi hindi naman talaga taga-roon (They had jeepneys, a staging area, t-shirts, uniforms. Complete. That’s how you know they’re not locals, they were wearing uniforms. They were brought in. Their uniforms were pink. The jeeps had their signs covered because they weren’t really from there),” Remulla explained.

Remulla further alleged that some of the attendees had ties to the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People's Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NDA-NDF).

“Yung mga pink, ang dami nilang estudyante mga mukhang aktibista. Kaliwa. Mga trained ng NDF, may mga dalang bandera pero pink...Ang CPP-NPA-NDF tsaka ang pink, magkakampi na. (The pinks have a lot of students that look like activists. Leftists. Trained by the NDF, they brought pink flags... The CPP-NPA-NDF and the pinks are aligned.),” Remulla added.

For their part, Robredo’s team asked supporters to continue the “people’s campaign” for her regardless of any allegations.
