The Rizal Mega Testing Facility at the Ynares Event Center will temporarily cease operations starting on Monday, March 7.
In a post on it’s official Facebook page, the provincial government said the decision was made to enable the medical frontliners and health workers to return to their original place of assignment.
The frontliners previously worked in the nine public hospitals in the province prior to the pandemic.

The testing facility was used to provide free RT-PCR (Reverse Transcription- Polymerase Chain Reaction) testing for COVID-19 to residents and non-residents.
The continuous decline of COVID-19 cases in the province also prompted Rizal’s capitol to consider the facility’s closure.
As of Feb. 28, there were 142 active cases in the province as compared with 165 active cases on Feb. 27.
