PCSO provides 60 patient transport vehicles to LGUs in Cebu amid pandemic

Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, a total of 60 units of patient transport vehicles (PTVs) were turned over to several local government units (LGUs) in Cebu on Friday, March 4.
The turnover ceremony was led by PCSO General Manager Royina Marzan-Garma, which was attended by recipients hailing from Masbate to as far as Southern Leyte.

According to the agency, this marks PCSO’s third tranche of PTV distribution in 2022 which began on Feb. 4 with 50 units donated to Luzon beneficiaries and on Feb. 24 with 59 units to Mindanao recipients and various Philippine National Police Regional Offices.
In her speech, Garma called on the public to support the games and products of the PCSO that fund the charity programs of the agency amid the pandemic.
“Napakaganda ng adhikain ng PCSO sa komunidad at probinsya kasi madadagdagan kayo ng income at kabuhayan mula sa aming mga produkto, bukod pa sa sari-sari naming programang pang medikal at kalusugan. Magtulungan po tayo mga kababayan para lalo pa namin kayong mapagsilbihan (PCSO's mission in the communities and the provinces is very good. We seek to increase your income and livelihood from our products, as such, we have various medical and health programs. Let us work together so that we can serve you even better),” she said.
PCSO said the recipients of PTVs in Visayas includes Municipality of Kalibo, Aklan; Municipality of Libacao, Aklan; Municipality of Tangalan, Aklan; Municipality of Ibajay, Aklan; Municipality of Tibiao, Antique; Municipality of Patnongon, Antique; Ballan District Hospital, Capiz; Municipality of President Roxas, Capiz; Municipality of Sigma, Capiz; Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital, Capiz; Municipality of Cabuatan, Iloilo; Municipality of Leganes, Iloilo; Municipality of Maasin, Iloilo; Municipality of Calatrava, Negros Occidental; Silay City, Negros Occidental; Municipality of Anda, Bohol; Municipality of Catigbian, Bohol; Municipality of Lila, Bohol; Cebu City Medical Center; Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu; Municipality of Tuburan, Cebu; Municipality of Alegria, Cebu; Municipality of Asturias, Cebu; PNP Regional Training Center & Consolacion, Cebu; Municipality of Madridejos, Cebu; Municipality of Poro, Cebu; Municipality of San Francisco, Cebu; Municipality of Sibulan, Negros Oriental; Municipality of Tayasan, Negros Oriental; Municipality of Maria, Siquijor; Municipality of Caibiran, Biliran; Municipality of Naval, and Biliran; Biliran Provincial Hospital.

Present during the turnover ceremony were mayors and representatives of municipalities and cities in Cebu.
