One of the eight suspects who robbed the mother of actress Nadia Montenegro in a shopping center yielded to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Saturday, March 5.
The QCPD said the suspect, identified as Romeo Miranda, voluntarily surrendered to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) in Camp Karingal.
In a GMA News report, the CIDU said that Miranda was the driver of the group who victimized the actress' mother while in a shopping center in Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City last Wednesday, March 2.
They took a total of P130,000 coming from the victim's wallet and automatic teller machine (ATM) cards.
The police are still establishing the identities of the seven other suspects, while further details are yet to be announced.
