Toni Gonzaga honors 'PBB' in successful Dubai show

Toni Gonzaga and her sister Alex wowed thousands of Filipinos in Dubai as they turned up for their one-night only show at the Dubai Expo 2020 last Thursday night.

Alex opened the 90-minute show with her songs, mostly done with wacky moves and comic antics.

Halfway of the program when Toni emerged on stage and joined Alex.

Toni was greeting the crowd when some members of the audience chanted: "BBM! BBM! BBM!" which referred to presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos.

"Kayo talaga! Uy quiet," said the smiling Toni, who later charmed the audience with her hit songs "We Belong," "Catch Me," and "Starting Over Again."

Then Alex came out again on stage and said: "Ayan! Sa kanya n'yo sabihin yan," in reference to the chants of the audience.

Toni and Alex made duets for several songs like "Let It Go" and "Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita?"

While performing her solo numbers, Toni mentioned Star Records and Pinoy Big Brother.

"Sana kahit wala na ako sa PBB, sana manood pa rin kayo ng Pinoy Big Brother. Mahalin pa rin natin si kuya at ang kanyang mga housemates," said Toni.

On Feb. 9, Toni stepped down as host of the reality show PBB after 16 years.

The former Kapamilya star resigned a day after she hosted the proclamation rally of presidential aspirant Bongbong and running mate Sara Duterte in Bulacan.
