CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro –- A security guard was arrested here for allegedly threatening a beautician that he would post her nude photos on social media if she will refuse to have sex with him.
The police identified the suspect as Johnjohn Walangsumbat, 21, a resident of Barangay Formon, Bongabong.

Lt. Col. Salvador Dotdot, assistant chief of Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit (RACU) of Philippine National Police-MIMAROPA (Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) said the victim personally lodged a complaint before their office against the security guard.
An entrapment operation was set at about 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 3. Walangsumbat was arrested. Recovered from him were a cellphone and a motorcycle.
He was brought to Bongabong police station and will be charged for grave coercion in relation to Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
Maj. Loreto Maulion Jr., chief of public information office of Police Regional Office-MIMAROPA said that data from the Crime Information Reporting and Analysis System (CIRAS) of the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division showed that the police regional headquarters logged four incidents of cybercrimes from January 1, 2021 to March 3 this year.
Brig. Gen. Sidney S. Hernia, regional director of PNP-MIMAROPA said that the latest arrest should serve as a stern warning that the MIMAROPA police will never allow cybercriminals to operate in the region.
