Pasay City gov't distributes boxes of disinfectant to city's 201 barangays
The Pasay City government distributed boxes of disinfectants to 201 barangays in the city for use in cleaning their surroundings against any form of virus, particularly the coronavirus.
Mayor Emi Calixto Rubiano, together with Rep. Antonino Calixto, led the distribution of Zonrox disinfectants Zonrox to the city’s barangay chairmen at the Philippine National School for the Blind on Wednesday, March 2.
Rubiano told the barangay chairmen to help the city government in cleaning up their surroundings to protect the residents especially the children and senior citizens.
Rubiano wants all barangay chairmen to conduct “bayanihan” in cleaning their surroundings and help the city government in the fight against COVID-19.
She said only nine out of the 201 barangays in the city has COVID-19 cases. The eight barangays recorded single digit case while Barangay 183 has two as of March 3.
The mayor said the city recorded three new cases, bringing the total to 10 active cases, five new recoveries, and one death, based on data from the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU).
