Mariane Osabel and Vilmark Viray have many things in common. They are singing contest veterans. Both of them made their mark in The Clash Season 4 talent competition and now both of them are on their way to stardom after signing a contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center.
Mariane and Vilmark are prime examples of how even the most impossible things are made possible with enough focus and passion.
Mariane is known as the singing siren from Iligan City who made her hometown proud with a sweeping win in 2021's The Clash Season 4. The 24-year-old knew that there was nothing else she wanted to do in life but sing professionally.

"Before The Clash, I was having on-the-job training in a manufacturing plant," said Mariane who graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering Technology from the Mindanao State University. " And I asked myself then if working in an office was my fate. My dream was really to sing. I have been singing and joining contests since Grade 3," she noted.
Mariane's supporters pushed her to audition for The Clash and the rest is history. She now believes that if it's really your destiny, then it will be handed over to you.
Vilmark, on the other hand, revealed that he is a licensed engineer by profession because that's what his parents wanted. He said he joined The Clash as part of his personal goal because he loves to sing and counts Sam Smith as one of his idols. Despite the fact that he was only a runner-up to Mariane, his unique, soothing voice and promising talent simply couldn't be ignored by the Kapuso network.

"I presently work as a full-time engineer, and I will continue to do so as long as I am able to juggle the responsibilities. But if the time comes when I need to quit, I will do so because my heart now belongs to showbiz," Vilmark replied.
He offers this advice for others who want to get the big break in competitive singing: "Just try. You will just regret it if you don't try. Conquer your fears."
For her part, Mariane advises aspiring singers to "Focus and Practice. Never be ashamed to ask your family and friends kung anong kanta ang bagay sa yo."

Right now, Mariane and Vilmark are regular performers on GMA's All-Out Sundays. Both of them agree that being in showbiz has been a "life-changing experience" and it only happened because they took the brave leap of joining a national singing contest. There's no looking back.
