The Commission on Elections (Comelec) said the motions for reconsideration filed in relation to the case of presidential candidate Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. will be resolved before election day.

"Definitely, the MRs have to be decided before the elections," Acting Comelec Chairman Socorro Inting said in a press briefing in Manila on Friday, March 4.
She added that the MRs have already been raffled to a ponente.
"We just have to await the release of these (resolutions)," said Inting.
"We will be deciding it soon," she added.
The Comelec First Division on Feb. 10 dismissed the petitions of Bonifacio Ilagan, Akbayan and Abubakar Mangelen seeking to disqualify Marcos Jr for lack of merit.
On Jan. 17, the Comelec Second Division also junked the petition of Fr. Christian Buenafe et al seeking to cancel the certificate of candidacy (COC) of Marcos Jr.
Petitioners in said cases have already appealed the decision.
