If you’ve seen the newsstands these past months, then you would have known it. The latest “It-item” to grace the covers of Vanity Fair, international versions of Elle and Vogue, and many more is that micro-mini skirt by Miu Miu. This tiny piece of garment has been all the rage not only in print but also online, solidifying the resurgence of Y2K fashion in today’s style scene.

First seen on Miu Miu spring 2022 runway, the Miuccia Prada-approved skirt has been donned by numerous celebrities, from Nicole Kidman and Hailey Bieber to Chiara Ferragni and Emily Ratajkowski. Truly, this fray-edged pleated mini-skirt is the breakout star among spring's fashion trends. Now, if you want to try out the trend, the skirts are now up for sale on Miu Miu’s website. But if you want to wing it for yourself, Tiktok user AJ Tinsley shared a post on how you can easily make your own micro-mini skirt with your old pants. As a bonus, AJ also demonstrated how you can make a matching bralette to go with the skirt.
