TNC players Ben “Benthings” Maglaque and Daniel “SDzyz” Chu had a mini-reunion with former teammate Dylan “Light” Catipon in TNC’s 2-0 sweep of RSG Philippines on Friday, March 4.

Benthings, who played as second stringer to Light in TNC in Season 8, was glad to come out on top in his lane matchup with pal and former teammate who is now with RSG.
“Masarap lang po sa feeling,” said Benthings during the post-game interview. “Nice game! Lakas!” he added.
Benthings truly outperformed Light in the match as he proved to be a vital cog in dealing RSG its first taste of defeat in four games in the MPL PH Season 9.
His clutch play in the opening game where he caught Eman “Emann” Sangco’s Beatrix which triggered the crucial clash made the difference as TNC took out Emann and Light’s Edith on the side of RSG. That allowed them to secure the Lord and eventually the series’ first blood.
Benthings continued to dazzle in the second game on his Franco pick, shutting down Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto’s Lancelot pick in the early game.
Not even the pressure brought by the on-site setting could bother Benthings as led TNC with two MVP citation in the sweep.
“Hindi po (kinabahan) kasi pangarap ko po ito e kaya sobrang saya lang po fineel po namin yung paligid para di kami mapressure,”
Benthing’s familiarity of Light’s shot call also paid dividends as TNC was able to read several plays from RSG including its favorite conceal play.
“Prepared lang po kami nag mag-iinvi play. Based lang po namin sa reviews ng games nila, mahilig po sila mag five-man team fight kaya lagi po kaming on guard kahit wala pong nangyayari sa mapa, lagi kaming listo kumbaga,” he explained.
