Report: Gummy, Paul Kim, Kim Bum-soo to sing at Hyun Bin, Son Ye-jin's wedding

The singers that will be performing at the wedding of Korean star couple Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin scheduled at 4 p.m. today, March 31, have been revealed.

Gummy, Kim Bum-soo and Paul Kim will be singing at the wedding ceremony, according to a report by Korean media outlet Xports News.

It stated that Gummy, the wife of Korean actor Jo Jung-suk, and Kim Bum-soo will be in charge of the first part of the wedding. Paul Kim will sing the congratulatory song in the second part of the ceremony.

Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin will tie the knot at Aston House of the Grand Walkerhill Seoul hotel. Aston House is a separate venue of the hotel that has hosted exclusive events, weddings and parties.

Ahead of the wedding, MS Team Entertainment and VAST Entertainment, Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin’s agencies, respectively, released photos of the couple’s pre-wedding pictorial on March 31.

"Today, actress Son Ye-jin and actor Hyun Bin will have a wedding and take their first steps as a couple. We ask for your understanding that the main ceremony will be held privately in consideration of the coronavirus situation, and we will inform you through the wedding photos of the two,” the agencies said.

They added, “We are deeply grateful for the many congratulations and warm support for the two of them on their new start. In the future, actors Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin and their agencies will always do their best to repay the love you send."

In the photos, Hyun Bin is wearing a tuxedo while Son Ye-jin is wearing an elegant wedding dress.

Korean media outlets JTBC and YTN Star also revealed the wedding invitation of the couple.

Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin will get married one year and three months after officially admitting they were a couple on Jan. 1, 2021. They fell in love after starring in “Crash Landing on You,” which aired from December 2019 to February 2020.

Expected to attend the wedding are close friends of Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin. One of those who received a wedding invitation is former soccer player Lee Dong-guk. Last March 16, his wife, Lee Soo-jin, posted on Instagram that he received an invitation to the wedding. The post showed Lee Dong-guk holding the wedding invitation.

Korean actresses Lee Min-jung, Gong Hyo-jin, Uhm Ji-won and Oh Yoon-ah, who are Son Ye-jin’s close friends, are expected to be at the wedding.

Korean media reported on March 21 that actor Jang Dong-gun will deliver a congratulatory speech for the couple at their wedding.

Last Feb. 10, Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin announced that they were getting married in March.

“I thought long and hard about how to share this story because it’s an important one. I found someone to spend the rest of my life with. Yes... it’s him. Boy meets girl, recognizes each other in the crowd, promises to build a future together...I couldn’t imagine! It happened so naturally...But, isn’t that destiny?” Son Ye-jin said.

She said, “Just being with him, I feel warm and protected. Please help us celebrate the beginning of our future. And to my dearest fans, I have received unconditional love and for a long time now, I thought, there’s no way to repay it. Please know that I’m infinitely grateful and I also wish you all happiness!”

On the other hand, Hyun Bin said, “I am writing this because I wanted to tell the fans, who cared about me and gave me great interest and love despite my lacking in many ways, first the most important decision of my life.”

“I’m sure some of you can guess, right? Yes, I have made an important decision of marriage and step carefully in the second act of my life. I made a promise with her who always makes me smile. Let us walk through the days that lie ahead together,” he added.

The actor said, “Jeong-hyeok and Seri, who worked together in the drama, are going to take that step together. With the warm and affectionate gaze you have shown us so far, I believe you will cheer us on happily for our first step.
