Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said for the 15th straight day, the city’s lone public hospital, the Pasay City General Hospital (PCGH) has recorded zero Covid-19 admission.
According to Rubiano, PCGH officer-in-charge Dr. Jhon Victor De Gracia, reported for the past 15 straight days, the hospital has not admitted any Covid-19 patient as a result of an active and vigorous vaccination.
Rubiano said aside from the activities and vigorous vaccination conducted by the city government, an information campaign on the importance of getting vaccinated to protect the people from the virus.
She also said the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) that for the past five days, no new Covid-19 case has been detected in the city.
The mayor said the sustained no new Covid-19 cases reported in the city is a big achievement considering it was once a hot spot for virus cases.
Rubiano said that as of March 30, the city has already deployed a total of 756,202 vaccines.
She also said the strict enforcement of the EMI habit (E- Ensure to always wash your hands; M- Mask is a must; and I- Implement physical distancing) in all barangays also helped in the decline of Covid-19 cases in the city.
The mayor said a number of non-Pasay residents working in the city were also vaccinated.
