Operatives of the Pasig City Police Station (CPS) arrested a man who reportedly stabbed his girlfriend and a Japanese national to death on Tuesday, March 29.
Col. Roman Arugay, the chief of police of the Pasig CPS, identified the arrested suspect as Christian Llona, a resident of Pasig City.
The victims were identified as Anna Marie Dalusong, 39, a public school teacher and Llona’s girlfriend; and Yasunori Mori, 72, a Japanese national, husband of Dalusong’s aunt.
The suspect was arrested in Kapayakan St., Karangalan Village, Barangay Manggahan, Pasig City.
According to Arugay’s report, Dalusong and Mori’s dead bodies were found on the second floor of their house by Marie Louise Salvado, who reported the incident to the police at around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, March 28.
The victims sustained multiple stab wounds, according to the police’s forensic unit.
The Pasig Emergency Unit declared both victims dead at 12:45 a.m. on March 29.
The CCTV footage acquired by the police revealed that Llona also previously stole a 32-inch flat screen television while carrying a black backpack at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 26.
The suspect is now in the custody of the Pasig CPS and facing charges for two counts of murder and theft.
