The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Thursday, March 31, gave an update on the deployment status of election paraphernalia for the upcoming 2022 polls.

During a press briefing, Comelec Commissioner George Erwin M. Garcia said 100 percent of the Overseas Absentee Voting ballots are currently ongoing deployment, while 78.08 percent of local ballots are now on pre-staging pending dispatch.

The Vote Counting Machines (VCMs), according to him, are at 72.31 percent ready for dispatch.

Meanwhile, he said 99.54 percent of the VCM external batteries have been dispatched to local hubs.

All ballot boxes have been dispatched to local hubs, the commissioner said.

Garcia said 100 percent of the Broadband Global Area Network or BGANs are prepared for dispatch.

“‘Yung mga consolidation system sa canvassing, ‘yung mga laptops na nakikita niyo to consolidate the results in the municipal canvas, in the provincial canvassing,” he said.

“Sa municipal board of canvassers, 71.73 percent ready for dispatch. Sa mga provincial board of canvasser, mayroon po tayong 81 dapat diyan dahil 81 ang provinces natin. We already have 62 CCS (Consolidation and Canvassing System) representing 76.54 percent ready for dispatch. ‘Yung mga non-accountable forms and supplies na nasa warehouse natin, ang ongoing ready for dispatch na 61.42 percent.”
