Actor Choi Sung-joon posts photo taken at Hyun Bin, Son Ye-jin's wedding

Korean star couple Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin got married at 4 p.m. today, March 31, and actor Choi Sung-joon posted a photo taken at the venue.

Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin’s wedding is at the Aston House, an events venue of the Grand Walkerhill Seoul hotel that is a separate structure from the hotel and which has hosted exclusive events, weddings and parties.

“Sincere congratulations hyung !!” Choi Sung-joon posted on Instagram along with a photo of a table with pictures of Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin’s pre-wedding pictorial.

Tight security was implemented for guests. Security team was deployed at a checkpoint on a road leading to the venue. Cars entering were checked one by one to ensure that the passengers were on the official list of guests.

It was reported that actor Jang Dong-gun will deliver a congratulatory speech for the couple while Gummy, Kim Bum-soo and Paul Kim will sing at the ceremony.

Earlier the agencies of the two stars released photos of their pre-wedding pictorial.

"Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin are holding their wedding ceremony today, taking their first step as a married couple. The ceremony will be kept in private in consideration of the Covid-19 situation, so we ask for your generous understanding. We are sharing the news with their wedding photos instead,” the agencies said in a statement, SBS News reported.

The wedding invitation was also revealed by Korean media outlets JTBC and YTN Star, showing that the ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. today, March 31, at Aston House of the Walkerhill Hotels & Resorts in Gyeonggi Province.

Hyun Bin, 39, and Son Ye-jin, who turned 40 last Jan. 11, will be tying the knot one year and three months after officially admitting they were a couple on Jan. 1, 2021. They fell in love after starring in “Crash Landing on You,” which aired from December 2019 to February 2020.

Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin announced last Feb. 10 that they were getting married in March.

“I thought long and hard about how to share this story because it’s an important one. I found someone to spend the rest of my life with. Yes... it’s him. Boy meets girl, recognizes each other in the crowd, promises to build a future together...I couldn’t imagine! It happened so naturally...But, isn’t that destiny?” Son Ye-jin said.

She said, “Just being with him, I feel warm and protected. Please help us celebrate the beginning of our future. And to my dearest fans, I have received unconditional love and for a long time now, I thought, there’s no way to repay it. Please know that I’m infinitely grateful and I also wish you all happiness!”

On the other hand, Hyun Bin said, “I am writing this because I wanted to tell the fans, who cared about me and gave me great interest and love despite my lacking in many ways, first the most important decision of my life.”

“I’m sure some of you can guess, right? Yes, I have made an important decision of marriage and step carefully in the second act of my life. I made a promise with her who always makes me smile. Let us walk through the days that lie ahead together,” he added.

The actor said, “Jeong-hyeok and Seri, who worked together in the drama, are going to take that step together. With the warm and affectionate gaze you have shown us so far, I believe you will cheer us on happily for our first step.
