Nash Racela made sure to impose discipline above all as the new head coach of Adamson.

Some players of the Falcons had to learn it the hard way after Racela opted to bench them and give them limited playing time in their 82-66 routing of the University of the East Warriors in the UAAP Season 84 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City Tuesday, March 29.
The reason may seem petty but Racela had to do something about it as he had hopes of rebuilding the young squad with the departure of Jerrick Ahanmisi, Simon Camacho, and one-and-done product Val Chauca.
The reason? Blame it on the ice cream.
The former PBA coach explained that Adamson's athletic director Fr. Aldrin Suan celebrated his birthday on Monday, March 28 and sent some food, including a cake and an ice cream, for them to feast on.
The coaching staff, however, was crystal clear that it would be better not to dig in since the Falcons will be playing against the Warriors in the curtain-raiser at 10 a.m.
Some of them couldn't resist the sweet treat but later paid the price.
"But five of our guys still did get a scoop or two so medyo... it's party discipline actually. 'Yon lang (It's partly discipline actually. That's all). We're teaching them something," said the Season 78 champion coach with Far Eastern University.
"Mababaw na bagay dahil sa ice cream. Kumbaga, kung bakit tinanong kung bakit 'di ginagamit 'yong sa first half dahil sa ice cream, lima sila that we didn't use in the first half, and it's just because of a simple ice cream," explained Racela.

Ahmad Didat Hanapi, who had a 20-point outing in Adamson's 71-69 loss to National University in the opening game last March 26, was one of those who had to undergo Racela's disciplinary action.
The likes of Mario Barasi, Ricky Peromingan, Joseph Fuentebella, and Ivan Jay Maata also showed up in limited minutes.
Hanapi had four points and four rebounds against UE in eight minutes and 38 seconds of play.
