Traffic enforcer caught selling illegal drugs

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – A 33-year old traffic enforcer was arrested in a buy-bust operation along Diversion Road, Caritan Centro, Tuguegarao City on Tuesday, March 29, according to a police report.

The Cagayan Provincial Police Office said the operating team arrested Domingo Gacias ,a resident of Magora Street, Annafunan East, Tuguegarao City, at around 9:45 in the morning after selling one heat-sealed transparent sachet containing crystalline substance believed to be shabu.

The anti-illegal drugs agents had earlier learned of the suspect’s activities and this prompted them to set up an entrapment, in which a member of the operating team was to pose as a buyer of shabu.

Joint personnel of Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (lead unit) led by PMAJ Jhun Jhun Balisi and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Cagayan Field Office conducted the anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation along Diversion Road, Caritan Centro where the suspect was frequenting.

Confiscated from him was one unit black Infinix android cellular phone, a piece of genuine P1,000 bill used as buy-bust money, and one Honda motorcycle key.

The suspect and pieces of evidence were brought to Tuguegarao City Police Station for documentation.

The police categorized the suspect as a high value individual.

Documents needed are being prepared for filing of appropriate complaints against the suspect, according to PSSg John Paul Tagiuam, Investigator-on-Case.
