The effect of the easterlies, or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean, will continue to be felt across the country in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Wednesday, March 30.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the prevailing easterly winds.
In its extended weather outlook for key areas from March 31 to April 3, PAGASA said that maximum air temperatures may reach 33-34 degrees Celsius (℃) in Metro Manila, 33-34℃ in Tuguegarao City, 25℃ in Baguio City, 31-32℃ in Tagaytay City, 32℃ in Puerto Princesa City, 32-33℃ in Metro Cebu, 32-34℃ in Metro Davao, and 33-34℃ in Zamboanga City.
However, PAGASA advised the public to stay vigilant as severe thunderstorms, which are often associated with bursts of heavy rainfall, lightning, thunder, and gusty winds that usually last up to two hours, may also trigger flash floods or landslides.
