Presidential candidate Senator Manny Pacquiao is not keen on engaging in a "drone war" against other candidates, saying his campaign activities are "not even a concert."

"Iba kasi ang concert, syempre matagal na nakatiwangwang ang mga tao sa bahay dahil sa pandemya at dahil hindi nakalabas kaya excited sila magkaroon ng concert na ganun (Concert is different than campaign rallies. Of course, people have long been at home because of the pandemic, that's why they're excited to attend concerts)," Pacquiao said Wednesday during his sortie in Iloilo City.

"Invited ang mga artista so marami talagang dadalo kahit ako pag gusto ko ang isang artista dadalo ako, so ganun yun (Artists are invited. Of course many will attend. Even I will attend if there are artists)," he added.

Pacquiao's camp claimed that the "drone war" has become "the media's measurement of a candidate's" support.

With this, the lawmaker believed that his political strength will come from the country's Class D and E.

"Ang akin lamang ay marinig ako ng aking mga kababayan dito sa Iloilo at mahihirap kasi ang goal ko eh maipalam ko sa aking mga kasama na mahihirap na galing ako sa hirap. Gusto kong marinig ang kanilang mga hinaing at ano pa ang dapat nating tugunan pagdating ng panahon pag ako ay nanalo na (For me, I want to hear the sentiments of people in Iloilo and of the poor, because my goal is to inform the people that I was once a poor. I want to hear their complaints and what else we need to address)," Pacquiao said.

Pacquiao added he would not compete with the other presidential bets in terms of holding big political rallies. He said he would not resort to the so-called "hakot" system where candidates allegedly usually give payoffs just to mobilize huge crowds.

"Hindi ako pumapasok sa mga ganyan. Kami talagang sinusuyo, ayaw namin na hakutin. Parang niloloko namin sarili namin (I do not engage in that. We're the ones being courted. We don't want to deliberately gather the crowd because we'll just fool ourselves)," he said.
