Jada Pinkett Smith breaks silence: 'This is a season for healing and I'm here for it'

One day after Oscar winner Will Smith made a public apology about the slapping incident at the Oscars, his wife actress Jada Pinkett Smith shared a cryptic post about healing.

On Instagram, on March 29, Jada wrote: "This is a season for healing, and I'm here for it."

Jada earlier discussed her battle with alopecia (hair loss), saying she embraces her appearance, according to an article published by the Daily Mail.

'I feel the freedom today – I don't give two cr**s what people think of this bald head of mine. Because guess what? I love it,' Pinkett Smith said in a TikTok addressing the beauty pressures that black women face in Hollywood.

'I always had to do my hair in ways that didn't feel natural to me because I'm trying to play the game. So I had to learn to get the courage to go, "Nah, I'm not doing that,"' said Jada, who was recently seen in "The Matrix Resurrections."

"Being a black woman and dealing with hair in Hollywood, in the era I came up in, having your hair look as European as possible was always the thing. That was really challenging, you know because I liked my hair out wild and curly.'

'So if I'm doing a cover, everybody's , "No, we want your hair straight and flowy," when it's like, "All right, cool, but that's not really what my hair likes to do,"' she said.

The actress encouraged others to "be proud of their crown."

Rock has remained silent after the slapping incident at the Oscars last Sunday.
