Cagayan de Oro still moderate risk for COVID-19, says OCTA
With a high positivity rate of 12 percent, Cagayan de Oro remained at moderate risk classification of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), an OCTA Research fellow said on Thursday, March 3.

“Butuan, Cotabato City, Davao City, General Santos, Iligan, and Zamboanga City were at low risk while Cagayan de Oro remained at moderate risk,” said OCTA fellow Dr. Guido David in a tweet.
Among all highly urbanized cities (HUCs) in Mindanao, only Cagayan de Oro remained at the moderate risk classification. Its positivity rate, according to David, is high at 12 percent.
Positivity rate refers to the one-week average testing positivity of COVID-19 in the area.
Meanwhile, the remaining HUCs in Mindanao namely Butuan (7 percent), Cotabato City (4 percent), Davao City (5 percent), General Santos (15 percent), Iligan (18 percent), and Zamboanga City (8 percent) were classified under the low risk classification of the disease.
