Willie Revillame on him supposedly begging GMA to take him back: 'Fake news!'

Willie Revillame has denied rumors alleging that he wants to return to GMA, even supposedly begging to be taken in by the network again.

In a recent episode of "Wowowin" as streamed on YouTube, the 61-year-old star reiterated it is "fake news."

"Meron hong lumalabas sa diyaryo na kung ano-ano. Ako daw ay nagmamakaawang bumalik. Hindi po totoo yun! Yun po ay fake news," Willie said.

"Kung malaman niyo man ang mga katotohanan, basta ito lang ang masasabi ko, Mr. Gozon, thank you so much. Atty., maraming salamat! I miss you, I love you," he added, going on to mention other Kapuso executives.

It was only last month when the final episode of "Wowowin" aired on GMA.

Willie urged fans to simply ignore the rumor.

"Kapag nakakabasa kayo ng fake news, huwag niyo na hong pansinin 'yan. Naku, mahirap na lang magsalita," he related. "Pero hindi ako naaapektuhan diyan, whatever you say, basta ang importante alam namin kung ano ang totoo, at alam namin ang programang ito ay gumagawa ng paraan para makatulong sa mga ating kababayan."

He also mentioned news about him being tagged a billionaire.

"Huwag niyo ako isusulat sa bilyonaryo, hindi ako bilyonaryo, hindi ako businessman na bilyonaryo, simple lang po ako, masinop lamang ako sa buhay. Kung ano man ang meron ako naging mabuti lang ako sa aking sarili para sa aking mga anak para pag nawala na ako sa mundong ito, yung mga anak ko hindi naman maging kawawa. So nasa sa kanila na ho yan, sa mga anak ko, kung paano nila i-ha-handle yung aking iiwan," he added.

The veteran artist went on, "Sa mga bilyonaryo na news diyan, dapat reliable ang source niyo, kasi napi-fake news kayo. Sayang lang yung news niyo, sulat niyo ako nang isulat, kahit anong sabihin niyo sa akin - masama, walanghiya - wala sa akin 'yan. Basta alam ng Diyos, alam ng aking mga kasama kung ano ang pagkatao ko at kung ano ang totoo. Di ba, yun ang importante?"
