How sweet! Sara's man Manases campaigns for her in North Cotabato

Lawyer Manases "Mans" Carpio has made his first appearance on the UniTeam campaign trail to campaign for his wife, vice presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

Carpio was in Carmen, North Cotabato Monday, March 28 wherein he urged voters to support his wife's election bid as well as that of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

He made the appeal during a jampacked rally in front of Carmen municipal hall organized by Vice Governor Lala Taliño-Mendoza, who is eyeing a comeback as province's governor in the upcoming polls. She was accompanied by her husband Rep. Democrito Mendoza of party-list group Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (TUCP).

The rarely seen Carpio brought with him his two children with Mayor Duterte, Mateo Lucas or "Stingray" and Marko Digong or "Stone Fish".

“Sa May 9, suportahan ninyo si Inday Sara para bise presidente. Maaasahan ko ba ho kayo? Maaasahan po natin 'yon? Sino ang ating bise presidente? Ang ka-tandem ni Inday Sara, siyempre si BBM, Bongbong Marcos para president! (On May 9, support Inday Sara for vice president. Can I depend on you to do that? Who is our vice president? Inday Sara's partner, it's BBM of course, Bongbong Marcos for president!)” Carpio, who spoke ahead of Mayor Duterte, told the huge crowd that assembled in Carmen.

Carpio said the Philippines needs the UniTeam tandem to unite the nation after the May elections.

From North Cotabato, Marcos and Duterte had huge rallies in Maguindanao and Sultan Kudarat.

Based on Commission on Elections (Comelec) data, Maguindanao has 818,790 registered voters; Sultan Kudarat has 497,690; and North Cotabato has 771,206.

Mayor Duterte, who is also a lawyer, chairs the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) party.
