In a bid to get more volunteers before the May 2022 elections, the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) has urged netizens to use its “Uvatars” as profile pictures on social media.
The poll watchdog has created clip art illustrations or “Uvatars” of the type of volunteers that it needs for the upcoming polls.

To sign up as a PPCRV volunteer, interested individuals may register at https://joinppcrv.org/.
“Use any ‘Uvatars’ as your profile pic to help spread the call to potential volunteers for the upcoming elections. We need a lot of U!” the PPCRV said in its Facebook post, along with the clip art illustrations.
In February, PPCRV Chairperson Myla Villanueva said the election watchdog needs around half a million volunteers for the upcoming polls.
The PPCRV chairperson said volunteers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and must be 18 years old and above.
According to Villanueva, PPCRV volunteers are not just being deployed at polling centers, saying volunteers of PPCRV “are helping by cooking food, by serving water or generally just giving resources to our volunteers that are in the poll center.”
