The Taguig police confiscated P1.7 million worth of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in another buy-bust operation in the city.
Southern Police District director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg said the buy-bust operation was conducted at about 11:30 p.m. on March 28 at Creek Side, Block 43, Lot 1 in Barangay Central Bicutan, Taguig through a joint operation by the Taguig police’s Drug Enforcement Unit and Mobile Patrol Unit.

Two suspects were arrested in the operation. They were identified as Erin Yusa, 34, and Masulot Tasil, 50, both residents of Taguig.
Recovered from the suspects were seven plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 255 grams and with an estimated value of P1.73 million, one P1,000 bill and P12,000 worth of boodle money used in the operation and one digital weighing scale.
The two suspects are detained at the Taguig police’s Custodial Facility.
“The buy bust operation is the result of the perseverance of our men on the ground. We promise that we will not stop in enforcing the law to maintain peace in our area of jurisdiction. I hope that this will serve as a warning to our countrymen who continue to trade illegal drugs,” said Macaraeg.
