Leni-Kiko march launched by farmers; 4,400 kms. covered in 40 days
Several farmers' groups started a 40-day, 4,400-kilometer march-caravan to show support for the candidacy of Vice President Leni Robredo and her running mate Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan in the May 2022 elections.

The caravan, dubbed as "Lakad Laban sa Gutom at Kahirapan," began Monday, March 28, led by the Pambansang Kilusan ng mga Samahang Magsasaka (PAKISAMA), a national confederation of family farmer organizations, and other farmer groups.
The first leg of the caravan would take the farmers on a 4,000-kilometer journey from Sumilao in Bukidnon to Gumaca, Quezon until April 18, while the second leg will take them on a 400-kilometer march from Banasi, Camarines Sur to Manila from April 10 to May 7.
Along the way, the farmers would also provide testimonials for Robredo, Pangilinan and other candidates they opt to support through mainstream and social media.
Aside from showing their support, the march also aims to put hunger, poverty, and injustice as part of the electoral agenda, help consolidate and mobilize various farmers and basic sector organizations, and train successor family farmer leaders.
The farmers will travel to Cotabato City (March 29), Tacurong City (March 30), General Santos City (March 31), Davao City (April 1), and Monkayo, Davao de Oro (April 2).
After a one-day rest, they will travel to Butuan City (April 4), Gingoog City (April 5), and Pagadian (April 6).
They were also scheduled to make stops in Dumaguete City, Bacolod, Iloilo City, Aklan, Barotac Viejo, Estancia, Danao City, Cebu City, Ormoc, Tacloban City, Borongan City, Catbalogan City, Allen, Matnog, Irosin, Legazpi, Iriga City, Naga City and Daet.
On May 7, the groups will join the tandem's Miting de Avance set in Metro Manila.
