Hot, humid with chances of afternoon or evening rain showers expected across most of PH

The easterlies, or the warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean, will be the dominant weather system in the country in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Tuesday, March 29.
The entire archipelago, except for Palawan, may experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
In its extended weather outlook for key areas from March 30 to April 2, PAGASA said that maximum air temperatures may reach 33-34 degrees Celsius (℃) in Metro Manila, 32-34℃ in Tuguegarao City, 25-26℃ in Baguio City, 31℃ in Tagaytay City, 31-32℃ in Puerto Princesa City, 31-32℃ in Metro Cebu, 31-32℃ in Metro Davao, and 32-33℃ in Zamboanga City.
However, PAGASA advised the public to stay vigilant as severe thunderstorms, which are often associated with bursts of heavy rainfall, lightning, thunder, and gusty winds that usually last up to two hours, may also trigger flash floods or landslides.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said the low pressure area (LPA) that brought rains over Visayas and Mindanao in the past few days has moved near Palawan province.
As of 3 a.m., Tuesday, the LPA was at 390 kilometers (km) northwest of Zamboanga City or 95 km southeast of Puerto Princesa City.
This weather disturbance may bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan.
PAGASA advised those in Palawan to remain vigilant against possible flash floods or landslides due to the occurrence of light to occasional heavy rains.
