Comelec on 2nd Pilipinas Debates 2022: Expect more clashes of wits and passions

The public must expect more clashes of wits and passions during the second PiliPinas Debates 2022 for presidential candidates this coming Sunday, April 3, Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner George Erwin M. Garcia said.

This, as the commissioner told the media that the format of the second presidential debate will be changed.

Garcia, meanwhile, said that changes in debate format will be announced this coming Thursday by the poll body.

“There will be changes in the debate format this Sunday. Expect more clash of wits and the passions will be high among themselves,” the commissioner told the media on Tuesday, March 29.

He also told members of the media that they will be given a different holding area and their number of presence inside the venue will increase.

On March 19, the first PiliPinas Debates 2022 for presidential candidates was held at the Sofitel Harbor Garden Tent in Pasay City. Nine out of 10 presidential candidates joined the Comelec-organized debates.

Meanwhile, the Town Hall debates for presidential and vice-presidential candidates will take place on April 23 and 24, respectively.
