The Team Sulong Bagong Paranaque received warm support from residents during its motorcade around the city on Sunday (March 27).
Residents showed support to the motorcade of Team Sulong Bagong Paranaque headed by Mayor Edwin Olivarez who is running for congressman of the first district of Paranaque.
Olivarez, who is already on his last term as city mayor, will be replaced by his brother, 1st District Rep. Eric Olivarez.
The motorcade started at about 7 a.m. along SM Sucat in Barangay San Dionisio and ended at the Redemptorist Church in Barangay Baclaran.
Olivarez thanked the supporters of Team Sulong Bagong Paranaque who joined the motorcade as well as the huge crowd on the street that welcomed them.
The mayor said Coach Binky Favis will be running as vice-mayor of his brother and Rep. Gus Tambunting will be running as congressman for the second district.
Running for councilors in the first district are Toki Baes; Pablo Gabriel Jr.; Pablo “Paolo” Olivarez II , Vandolf Quizon; Marvin Santos, Allen Tan, Rene Velarde, and Jomari Yllana.
For the second district, the candidates for councilor are Beng Amurao, Edwin Bong Benzon, Juvan-Tin Esplana, Atty. Jet Frias, Rico Golez, Joacquin Bustamante Mendoza, Nina Sotto, and Councilor Ryan Yllana.
