Thousands get booster shots in house-to-house vax as Pasig Covid-19 cases decline

A total of 1,431 Covid-19 booster shots have been administered to adult residents of Pasig City through a house-to-house vaccination (H2H) program as of Sunday, March 27.

The H2H program is primarily led by a medical team from the Department of Health (DOH), and conducted with the assistance of Pasig Health Aides (PHAs) from the city’s barangay health centers.

Starting March 10, the vaccination program offered AstraZeneca booster shots to residents in selected barangays and areas in the city during Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

The program operates complementary to the local government’s own continuous vaccination efforts that have yielded a reduction in Covid-19 cases.

As of March 27, Pasig City has recorded 20 active Covid-19 cases, with 21 out of 30 barangays logging zero active cases.

The city’s Covid-19 tally recorded less than 50 active cases from March 10 until March 27, with minor fluctuations observed in between.

As of Friday, March 25, the local health department has administered 1,360,045 vaccines in the city, consisting of 615,018 vaccines for the first dose, 586,825 for the second dose, and 158,202 for booster shots.

The Covid-19 vaccination schedules in the city for Monday, March 28, to Saturday, April 2, are on a first come, first served basis.

Available vaccination sites for adults include the Pasig Sports Center (2nd/Booster), Pasig Mega Parking II (1st /2nd/ Booster), Arcovia (1st / 2nd / Booster), and SM City East Ortigas (2nd / Booster on Saturday).

For pediatric vaccinations aged 12 to 17, slots are available at the Pasig Sports Center (1st /2nd), and SM City East Ortigas (1st /2nd on Saturday).

For vaccinations of children aged five to 11, sites at SM City East Ortigas (1st / 2nd dose from Monday to Friday), SM Center Pasig (1st / 2nd), and McDonalds Arcovia (1st/2nd) are open.

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto reminded the unvaccinated residents to get jabbed, and for parents or legal guardians of five to 11 year olds to register their children for pediatric vaccination.
