PRC moves July 2022 licensure exam for mining engineers to August
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced the rescheduling of the July 2022 Mining Engineers Licensure Exam (MELE).

The Commission said the examination will now be held on August 24, 25, and 26.
The licensure exam was originally slated on July 11, 12, and 13.
PRC said the postponement was done "to give graduates reasonable time to complete their examination requirements," after most colleges and universities have adopted new academic calendar that resulted into change of graduation schedule.
It further announced that the deadline for the filing of an application for MELE has been moved from June 13, 2022 to July 25, 2022.
Section 7 of Republic Act No. 8981 or the PRC Modernization Act of 2000 empowers the PRC to administer and conduct the licensure examinations of the various regulatory boards in accordance with the rules and regulations it may promulgate: to determine and fix the places and dates of examinations.
