PATAFA partners with G-Shock as official timing partner of SEAG-bound PH team

The Philippine athletics team is optimistic of their campaign in the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam this May.

Further boosting the team’s spirits is Philippine Athletics Track and Field’s (PATAFA) new partnership with G-SHOCK as the official timing partner of the team.

The partnership saw G-Shock providing all national athletes competing in the biennial meet with a Casio G-Shock watch.

“Ang layunin ng PATAFA ay apat. Increase participation of athletes in tournaments, increase the number of athletes participating in tournaments, increase people such as technical officials and volunteers dahil kung wala sila, walang tatakbong tournament na maayos, and lastly, increase in partnership,” said PATAFA President Philip Juico.

“And we’re proud to have G-Shock with us to support our athletes in the SEAG.”

Among athletes present were reigning SEAG champions Christine Hallasgo, Aries Toledo, Melvin Calano, Anfernee Lopena and Sarah Dequinan.

“Ako’y natutuwa na nandito kayong lahat. Na sa kabila ng mga pagsubok, nagpupursigi pa rin kayong mag-training para makapag-compete sa SEAG," Juico added.
