CDA grants financial assistance to 'Odette'-hit cooperatives
Through its Special Assistance for Recovery and Alleviation (SARA) program, the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) granted financial assistance to typhoon-hit cooperatives in the Philippines.
The initiative, according to CDA on Monday, March 28, aims to provide assistance for micro and small cooperatives affected by typhoon Odette which ravaged the country in December 2021.

In a press statement, CDA said the beneficiaries were from Calabarzon, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, and Caraga Region.
“CDA Board of Directors, headed by Undersecretary Joseph Encabo, together with CDA assistant secretaries proceeded to Eastern Visayas and Caraga region for the ceremonial distribution of grants,” said CDA.
It added that the officials specifically visited cooperatives in Surigao City, Dinagat Islands and Southern Leyte to extend help.
