Blacklist head coach Christoffer “Bon Chan” Ricaplaza cleared the air regarding the situation inside the team following his comments on their unusual Game 2 draft in the 2-0 loss to ECHO on Sunday.

The two-time MPL champion coach took to social media to express his frustration regarding the draft, triggering thoughts from fans that there could be trouble brewing inside the Blacklist camp.
“P
** drafting na Game 2 ‘yon pang throw. Mula 1st pick hanggang 5th pick. Lala. Pero kung gusto nyo sa’kin sisi ay ok lang. Immune na ako diyan. I will choose not to explain to protect others,” wrote Bon Chan in a Facebook post.
Bon Chan, however, was quick to address the issue as he clarified in the comment section of the same post that all is well between the team and there’s no disagreement between him and assistant coach Aniel “Master the Basics” Jiandani.
“Dont worry guys. No internal conflict samin lahat. All in good terms. Don't assume na may disagreement kami ni MTB. Wala,” he said in the comment.
In an interview after the match, Bon Chan revealed that the Khufra pick for Edward “EDWARD” Dapadap was a last minute decision from the team and supposedly a hero that Edward is comfortable using.
“Nung huling segundo na nakacover na kami sa hero na malakas din siya, until naglast second biglang nagdecide na hindi wag ito, ito na lang sa so naging tank,” shared Bon Chan.
The last-minute pick resulted in a weird composition for Blacklist that featured four tank heroes in its lineup with Kiel "Oheb" utilizing a gold lane Ruby while Jason "Eson" Gerardo and Kent "Kevier" using a roaming Hilda and jungle Baxia.
With no real hero that could provide the burst damage, Karl “Karltzy” Nepomuceno’s Ling ran wild with a 10-0-10 KDA as ECHO stomped the defending champions, 25-5, in just 11-minutes of play in that game.
“Sa halip na yung particular hero na ni Edward na malakas din siya ay mapick so nagdecide last second na ito na lang, so naconfirm na yung Khufra,” Bon Chan added.
It seemed like ECHO head coach Michael “Arcadia” Bocado also targeted Edward during the draft banning as his signature heroes Uranus, Emeralda, Phoveus, and Paquito were all banned while Benedetta and Yu Zhong were picked by the league leaders.
Edward’s Dyrroth and Thamuz pick which he has used in the past weeks were still available before the team opted for the Khufra pick.
Although receiving some backlash following the 2-0 loss, Bon Chan was quick to move on from the incident as the team still has its fate in its own hands
“So far malaki pa rin talaga yung chance kasi yung mga nangyayaring result ay pumapabor talaga sa amin like yung Omega natatalo din and yung Bren mas mataas pa rin yung score namin,” said Bon chan.
“Hangga’t pumapabor pa rin samin yung dalawang nasa ilalim namin, malaki pa rin yung chance namin sa playoffs so tiwala lang,” he added.
Blacklist is currently at the sixth spot of the standing with a 11 points on a 2-9 record. Trailing it are nemesis Omega Esports with nine points and cellar dweller Bren Esports with eight.
