"Mayroon akong magandang balita. Ang ating mahal na presidente, Rodrigo Roa Duterte, nagkakaisa na rin, Bongbong Marcos for president (I have good news. Our president Rodrigo Roa Duterte has aligned with us, Bongbong Marcos for president)," Roque said during a UniTeam rally in Polomolok Municipal Gymnasium in South Cotabato on Sunday, March 27.

Marcos and UniTeam senatorial candidates Roque, Larry Gadon, Herbert Bautista, Jinggoy Estrada, Rodante Marcoleta, Gilbert Teodoro, Mark Villar, and Migz Zubiri were present at the rally, along with Davao City Vice Mayor Sebastian "Baste" Duterte.

Previously, Duterte ally and Senate candidate Salvador Panelo hinted that the Chief Executive was leaning toward endorsing Marcos's Palace bid.

However, as of this posting, President Duterte has not officially endorsed any presidential candidate for the May 2022 polls.

Meanwhile, President Duterte's party, the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino—Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) Cusi wing, had earlier endorsed Marcos, although the Palace has said that it does not know if the party made this endorsement with the Chief Executive's blessing.
