Ogie Diaz, Bituin Escalante react to Elizabeth Oropesa's 'TF' comment

Veteran actress Elizabeth Oropesa's recent statement went viral.



In fact, some celebrities, including Ogie Diaz and Bituin Escalante, have reacted to it.



A few days ago, the 67-year-old star denied that performers at the campaign sorties of presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and running mate Sara Duterte were being paid.



Elizabeth said: “Ipapuputol ko yung dalawa kong paa. Gagapang na lang ako kung binabayaran kaming mga artista kay BBM."



“Natutuwa ako para doon sa mga artistang kinukuha nila (other camp) kasi sigurado ako may TF (talent fee) ‘yan. Eh sa atin (UniTeam's camp) walang TF,” she added. "Kusa at dumadating talaga ang mga artista na kahit hindi imbitahan, sila pa ang nagtatanong kung paano sumama.”



Ogie shared the art card with the quote on Facebook.


"Sige po, pakigalaw na po ang itak," he wrote. "Pero since kayo yung accuser, patunayan nyo. Aware naman kayo na uso ang resibo ngayon, maglabas kayo ng ebidensiya."


"Elizabeth Oropesa ka, hindi ka si Marites," he added.


On Twitter, the talent manager also made his own declaration.

It read: “Sabi ni Elizabeth Oropesa, ipapaputol niya ang dalawa niyang paa kung di siya nagsasabi ng totoo na bayad ang mga performers sa Leni-Kiko rally. Ako, papaputol ko ang notes ko kung totoong ipapaputol niya ang mga paa niya.”



Bituin, who performed at the campaign rallies of Vice President Leni Robredo and Sen. Francis Pangilinan, also denied the allegations.



"Ma’am Hindi ko po hihingin na putulin niyo ang dalawa niyong paa. Respeto lang po sa aming mga boluntaryong nagpeperform para kay VP. Hindi po kami bayaran. Wala po ni isa sa amin ay bayaran," her tweet read.

On the other hand, Bituin defended Elizabeth from some bashers.


She said: "To be fair, she’s hardly hukluban and she will always be one of our great actresses. I just need to point out the false information. That’s all. Peace out Kakampinks!"


"In fairness to Elizabeth Oropesa, never siya magiging has been. Talent is talent," she added in another tweet.
