Crowd at proclamation rally of local bets in Binangonan, Rizal supports BBM-Sara tandem

The proclamation rally of incumbent Mayor Cesar Ynares and his team in Binangonan, Rizal turned into an expression of support for presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos and his running mate, vice presidential bet Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

Before ending his brief message in front of hundreds of residents at the Ynares Plaza during his team’s proclamation rally Friday night, Mayor Ynares asked the crowd to raise their hands as he mentioned the names of presidential and vice presidential candidates.

When they heard the word “BBM” (Bongbong’ Marcos), the people shouted as they raised their hands.

Mayor Ynares, who is seeking re-election, also mentioned the names of other national candidates but only a handful raised their hands.

Supporters of Marcos Jr. belonging to the BBM Kabataang Federal-Binangonan Chapter are scheduled to hold a caravan and an oath-taking event to show their support for the former senator’s presidential bid on Sunday, March 27, in Binangonan.

The office of Mayor Ynares said there’s no confirmation yet if Marcos Jr. and Sara would attend the caravan.

Mayor Ynares, a chemical engineer who worked with various private firms including Rizal Cement Corporation before entering politics, is seeking reelection for his third and last term.

“BEST BINANGONAN” became Ynares’ slogan for his political comeback in 2016.

With a vision of improving the quality of life in the town, the mayor is focusing on his priorities:

-Investments and business opportunities; elimination of red tape and corruption through the implementation of a “one-stop” shop for faster and more efficient processing of the government transactions;

- Creation of a more friendly environment for small and medium entrepreneurs to achieve higher revenues;

-Improvement of the public infrastructure and safety structures;

-Promotion of social services like livelihood, education, health and sanitation, child welfare and senior citizen programs.

Other local candidates, including gubernatorial bet Nina Ricci Ynares Chiongbian, daughter of incumbent Rizal Governor Rebecca ‘Nini’ Ynares and sister of former Antipolo Mayor Casimiro ‘Junjun’ Ynares III, attended the proclamation rally of Mayor Ynares.

The lady gubernatorial bet is a nephew of the Binangonan mayor.
