Team BF begins house-to-house campaign in Marikina

Incumbent Marikina City 1st District congressman and mayoral candidate Bayani Fernando and the rest of Team BF kicked off the local elective period with a house-to-house campaign on Friday, March 25.

Zif Ancheta, Team BF’s vice mayoral candidate, and councilors in the team’s slate, joined him in interacting with residents of Barangay Calumpang.

In an interview with Marikina News Today, Fernando said his confidence in winning as mayor of the Shoe Capital of the Philippines was boosted by the warm reception he received from city residents.

“Matagal akong nawala sa Marikina, pero nakikita ko ngayon, naaalala na ng tao ngayon at alam na nila ang aking mga programa (I’ve been away from Marikina for a long time, but as I have seen here, people remember and they know my programs),” Fernando said in an interview with Marikina News Today.

Team BF includes congressional candidate Jose Miguel “Migoy” Cadiz who replaced his late uncle Jose Fabian Cadiz.

The team’s candidates for councilor are Kevin Abergas, Eva Aguirre-Paz, Lea Carlos, Willie Chavez, Mario De Leon, Medick Ferrer, Celeste Reyes, and Vic Tambuli Sabiniano for District 1, and Edwin Adigue, Ricky Khoo, Ronnie Ortiz, and Dr. George Quimson for District 2.
