The Serbisyo sa Bayan Party (SBP) held its proclamation rally at the Quezon Memorial Circle (QMC) on Friday, March 25.
The proclamation rally was led by Quezon City's incumbent Mayor Joy Belmonte.
In her speech, Belmonte said the first thing that she would do is to follow the law.
“Bilang tagapagpatupad ng batas, ang una nating tungkulin ay sumunod sa batas, kailanma’y hindi naging solusyon ang shortcut, palusot at pagsisinungaling (As enforcers of the law, our first duty is to follow the law, shortcuts, excuses and lies have never been the solution),” she said.
“Simple lang naman dapat ang sukatan sa kahit na anong halalan, gawa hindi ngawa... let our accomplishments serve as a yardstick (The yardstick in every election should be accomplishments, not mere lip service. Let our accomplishments serve as a yard stick),”she added.
Belmonte cited some of the city government’s accomplishments amid the Covid-19 pandemic, including the Hope quarantine facility, crematory, and financial assistance to residents affected.
In the proclamation rally, Belmonte also presented her party's candidates for congressmen:
District 1 - Arjo Atayde
District 2 - Ralph Tulfo
District 3- Franz Pumaren
District 4 - Bong Suntay
District 5 - PM Vargas
District 6 - Marivic Pilar
Incumbent Vice Mayor Gian Sotto is Belmonte’s running-mate.
