'Many are auditioning' to get in Bongbong's Cabinet--Imee

Senator Imee Marcos on Thursday, March 24 bared that "many" individuals, "who initially did not want to serve in the government," have now expressed interest to be Cabinet members of a possible Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. administration.

Imee said during the Pandesal Forum that "many are now auditioning" and "are volunteering" to be part of Marcos Jr.'s potential Cabinet.

"Marami talagang dati ayaw pumasok sa gobyerno, ngayon nag-vovolunteer, so yun ang nakakatuwa (Many individuals who did not want to become part of the government are now volunteering. That's what's making me happy)," she said.

"Pero ang gusto ko sana, 'wag na tayo mauwi sa kung sino sinong kaibigan, kabarilan, kachikahan. Sana for a change ang pipiliin, kagalingan na lang, katapatan sana, ganon na lang (What I would prefer is that we don't end up favoring our friends. For a change, I hope we will choose people known for their skill and loyalty)," added the lady senator, sister of the frontrunning presidential candidate, Bongbong.

What is important for Bongbong, she said, is her brother's first 100 days if he gets elected to Malacañang.

"Nakakatakot din itong overwhelming support. Kaya nga lang ang problema doon, umaasa yung tao ng himala (This overwhelming support is also scary. The problem is that, people are hoping for a miracle)," she said.

"Ang totoo walang himala. Kayod ito. Magiging napakahirap ang susunod na administrasyon, napakahirap ng trabaho nyan at yung first 100 days dapat kaagad agad makakita ang tao ng pag asa sa kabila ng hirap na yan (There's no miracle. This is hard work. The first 100 days will be hard for the next administration, because in the first 100 days, people must see hope amid all the hardship)," she added.
