A man was arrested by authorities for pointing his gun at a person in Brgy. Panginay, Balagtas, Bulacan on Wednesday, March 23.
Col. Rommel J. Ochave, acting Bulacan police director, identified the arrested suspect as Roman Albareda, 59.
Police investigators said that the suspect was trying to collect payment from a debtor when a heated argument ensued, leading to Albareda taking his gun and pointing it at the victim who ran and shouted for help.
Albareda went out of his house and confronted the victim but elements of the Balagtas police had already responded leading to the suspect's immediate arrest and confiscation of a cal .38 revolver loaded with five live ammunition.
A case for grave threat and violations of RA 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearm) and the Omnibus Election Code (Gun Ban) will be filed against the suspect.
