LUCENA CITY, Quezon – A victory with a margin of around 400,000 votes is in the offing for the UniTeam tandem of former senator and presidential aspirant Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and his running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte in this province on May 9 national elections.

Quezon Governor Danilo Suarez made this assumption after witnessing the UniTeam grand rally in Tiaong Convention Center in Tiaong town, and in Quezon Convention Center (QMC) in Lucena City on Wednesday.
At least 12,000 attended the grand rally in Tiaong Convention Center.
Excluded from the crowd were the supporters within the perimeters of the venue, as well as thousands waiting for the caravan from Tiaong to Lucena City.
"I can see his sincerity. He wants to do something, maybe go back to the glory of his father," Suarez said in a chance interview after the rally.
Suarez personally introduced Marcos in the event. Seeing the massive outpouring of supporters in his province, Suarez appeared to have felt the pulse of his constituents as well as Marcos's sincerity to help them.
Suarez, who was House minority leader during his stint in congress, confidently said that Quezon will carry both Marcos and Duterte to victory in the national elections on May 9.
“Siguro mga 300,000 to 400,000 kayang ilamang ni BBM, Bongbong-Sara. Malaki, malaki. I assure you this will be an unprecedented election," stressed Suarez.
"Matagal na ako sa politika basta't kung ano man ang kanilang, tulad nito, unprecedented ito. Buhay na buhay ang crowd di ba?" he added, referring to the rally.
Marcos, standard-bearer of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), and Duterte, chairperson of Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD), received the two loudest cheers during their respective introductions.
Their respective speeches were also well-received as local residents chanted their names.
Duterte also delivered a separate message of hope, unity, and patriotism before more than 7,000 women in the event organized by Women For Sara (W4S) at Sariaya Sports Complex.
Another huge crowd greeted Marcos and Duterte during the UniTeam grand rally at Quezon Convention Center in Lucena City.
Organizers estimated that at least 20,000 supporters have attended the event, including people who patiently assembled outside the venue.
Marcos and Duterte thanked the Suarez family for a very warm welcome extended to them and UniTeam senatorial candidates.
