FEU Law dean vouches for Robredo, asks students to support her bid

Far Eastern University (FEU) Law School Dean Atty. Mel Sta. Maria endorsed Vice President Leni Robredo on Thursday, March 24, and asked students to support her bid for the presidency.

" may have different beliefs, advocacies, and even candidates (I respect that), but allow me to strongly persuade you and to endorse to you VP Leni and Sen. Kiko ," Sta. Maria, who has been the dean of FEU Law School since 2013, wrote on Facebook.

"I personally know VP Leni and I can vouch for her integrity, honesty, intelligence, courage, and hard-working attitude," he added.

He likewise aired support for Robredo's running mate, Pangilinan, who Sta. Maria called a "great public servant."

Sta. Maria also called on his former students from the FEU, Ateneo de Manila University, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, University of Santo Tomas, University of Asia and the Pacific, San Beda University, and San Sebastian College, as well as his former bar reviewers to "vote the people who will truly serve our people."

"The future belongs to you and your children, give them one which will respect the rule of law and provide a decent government that will meet your needs," he concluded.

In October last year, FEU students and alumni launched "Tams for Leni" to express support for the presidential bid of Robredo.
