Comelec reveals partial list of gov't agencies, LGUs granted, denied exemption from spending ban
Aside from the Office of the Vice President and the Department of Social Welfare Development (DSWD), the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said it also granted exemption from the poll spending ban the petitions of the provincial government of Davao de Oro and the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity.

Comelec Commissioner George Garcia on Thursday, March 24, also bared petitions of other national agencies and local government units that were partially granted and denied by the poll body.
Partially granted: provincial government of Surigao del Norte, province of Palawan, city government of Sta. Rosa, provincial government of Capiz, city government of Tagum, Quezon City government, and the local government of Koronadal City.
Garcia explained why some were partially granted "there are certain projects included in the petition which did not contain any budget particulars. They just put the project there. The Commission en Banc deem it necessary not to grant this kind of project."
Denied: province of Nueva Ecija, province of Bohol, province of Cebu.
Garcia said the list was only partial.
"This is just a partial list. This was submitted as early as February 2022 for resolution. What we did was to collate everything to expedite the proceeding because our Chairman wanted an expeditious resolution of all cases before Comelec," he said.
