Nearly 60 million ballots have already been printed for the May 2022 polls.

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) said as of March 24, the number of ballots printed at the National Printing Office in Quezon City was already at 58,838,453.
Comelec Commissioner George Garcia said this is 87.2 percent of the 67.4 million official ballots to be printed.
"Of the 58 million just so as not to create a misimpression, good ballots meaning it passed through the highest qualify control, the highest standard of control and verification, we found out there were 39,433,714," he said in a press briefing.
"This is actually 58.47 of the total number of ballots that we are supposed to print," added Garcia.
He stressed that this does not mean that these are the only good ballots as some are still undergoing verification.
As to the number of defective ballots, Garcia said, it has not changed.
"It's still the same with what we mentioned before which was 105,853 representing 0.18 percent," he said.
