Angel Locsin reiterates: 'Oo, mahalaga sa akin ang ABS...pero ang boto ko ay para sa kung anong tingin kong makakabuti para sa ating bansa'

Actress Angel Locsin has called out a netizen who insinuated that she's supporting Vice President Leni Robredo so that the franchise of the broadcast network ABS-CBN would be renewed if she wins the national elections in May 2022.

On Instagram, Angel tagged the online user. She commented: "Bakit mo naman naisip na ang aming desisyon ay nakabase lang dahil sa isang kumpanya? (smiley face) oo, mahalaga sa akin ang ABS-CBN lalo na ang mga nakatrabaho ko pero ang boto ko ay para sa kung anong tingin kong makakabuti para sa ating bansa (smiley face)."

“Katulad mo, ako rin ay naghahangad ng magandang kinabukasan para sa lahat (smiley face),” she said.

Angel also revealed why she's not voting for Bongbong Marcos.

“Kung sasambitin ko sa iyo kung bakit hindi si Marcos ay napakaraming dahilan-at tayo ay magaaway dahil malamang ikaw naman ang hindi sasang ayon - tulad ng hindi ko pag sangayon sa iyong mga nabangit kay VP (smiley face),” she related.

Angel reiterated that for the past six years, she felt Leni's presence in every typhoon, disaster, and pandemic.

"Laging isa sa mga unang makarating sa area," she noted, adding: "Alam ko dahil umiikot rin ako. Alam ko kung nakakaabot ba talaga sa tao ang tulong o publicity lang.”

The 36-year-old Kapamilya star maintained that Leni is not a corrupt official.

“Walang kinurakot," was how she put it.

"Marami rin siyang natulungan sa edukasyon, kalusugan, atbp. Bukod sa maasahan mo siya sa oras na kailangan natin ng tulong at hindi pag eleksyon lang, sang ayon ako sa karamihan ng mga sinabi niya (smiley face) kaya siya ang napili ko (smiley face)," she pointed out.

Despite this, Angel thanked the naysayer.

“Pero ako’y nagpapasalamat sa iyo sa maayos mong pakikipag-usap at dahil ikaw ay nagtanong - na ibig sabihin ay bukas ka para alamin kung sino talaga ang makakatulong ng totoo sa mga Pilipino.”

A few days ago, Angel said that she knows in her heart that Leni will not disappoint.

She also shared that this is the first time that she's supporting a presidential candidate.
