Power Hitters finally clinches win, gets third seeding in Pool B

PLDT survived a determined BaliPure side, 25-20, 26-24, 25-22, Wednesday to clinch the third seeding in Pool B of the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at the Paco Arena in Manila.

Mika Reyes bannered the Power Hitters with 11 points built on seven kills, three blocks and an ace, while Dell Palomata and Toni Rose Basas added eight points apiece.

The victory snapped the Power Hitters’ two-game slide at the expense of Creamline and Petro Gazz to finish the group stage with a 1-3 mark.

With the third seeding, PLDT arranges a quarterfinal meeting with the second seed in Pool A, who enjoys a twice-to-beat advantage.

BaliPure, which ended the group stage with three losses, sets up a quarters date with the top seed in Pool A.
