CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro – The Police Regional Office- MIMAROPA (Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) announced yesterday the arrest of two most wanted persons and ten other fugitives in separate police anti-criminality operations in the region.

The ten fugitives who were arrested in separate operations in Marinduque, Puerto Princesa City, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro and Palawan, have pending cases of rape, frustrated murder, adultery, homicide, robbery, direct assault and violation of anti-gambling law.
Brig. Gen. Sidney S. Hernia, regional director of PRO-MIMAROPA, said one of those arrested was Randy Masangkay Jr., 26, a resident of Barangay Balite, Calapan City who was nabbed in his hideout in Lemery, Batangas.
Masangkay is facing rape charges with no bail recommended, according to Capt. Clyde B. Kalyawen, chief of public information office of PRO-MIMAROPA.
The police arrested 40-year old Bobby de Jesus in Coron, Palawan. De Jesus has three counts of violation of the Anti-Child Abuse Law or Republic Act 7610 with recommended bail of P108,000 per count.
Capt. Kalyawen said the regional police office successfully arrested 527 wanted persons from January 1 to March 21 this year.
Brig. Gen. Hernia congratulated all police stations, provincial directors and other PNP operating units for the recent accomplishment.
